- Reviewing all styles of Writing from this year (Informational, Narrative, Opinion, How To)
-With guidance and support from adults, focus on a topic, respond to questions and suggestions from peers, and add details to strengthen writing as needed.
- Explain differences between non-fiction & fiction texts.
- Compare & Contrast the differences of characters in stories
-Identify main idea & key details
-Identify text features and explain how they help us understand text better
-Identify who is telling the story at various points in a text.
-With prompting and support, read prose and poetry of appropriate complexity for grade 1.
